I created this artwork to share the grace and peacefulness of mantas gliding through the water. The rays are flying through the bluey green ocean, only leaving a mark with their shadows. The shadows were not part of my original design but I felt they were needed to anchor the rays into the painting. I added the intricate details on their bodies to enhance the beauty of their dark shapes.
